Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ella is an artist who embraces movement as both a way of life and the purest form of self-expression. In spring 2025, she will graduate from Butler University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a Psychology Minor.
Ella’s dance journey began at age 4, inspired by a ballet book from her local library. Since then, she’s trained with Ballet Minnesota’s Classical Ballet Academy, attended summer intensives at Ballet Austin (2016–2019) and Utah Ballet (2019), and spent two years as a trainee with Ballet Co.Laboratory.
Ella has performed in major works including Giselle, Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, An American in Paris, and was a guest artist in Ballet Co.Laboratory’s Carmen in 2023. At Butler, she has been featured in many original works by professors and peers, while also choreographing her own pieces as part of her education and creative journey.
Her training spans ballet, modern, jazz, character, partnering (contemporary and classical), improvisation, voice, and composition. Outside the studio, Ella loves spending time in nature and experimenting with new recipes.
